- Panchakarma's Synergy with Shirodhara: Shirodhara finds its most potent expression within the realm of Panchakarma. Panchakarma entails a series of specialized therapies aimed at purifying the body and mind. Shirodhara, when thoughtfully woven into Panchakarma, supports detoxification by facilitating the elimination of toxins, emotional imbalances, and stress. This symbiotic relationship amplifies the efficacy of both Shirodhara and Panchakarma.
Digestion in the Body and Mind
When our digestion is working properly, we experience clear thinking, physical strength, and strong immunity. On the other hand, when our digestion is weakened, toxins build-up in the body, blocking the flow of energy, inhibiting clear thinking, and depriving the body of proper nourishment. An example of this is saturated fat that builds up in the body. At a certain point, the body can no longer keep up with clearing this toxin from the body. This causes a "back-up" or blockage; in this case, often of the arteries, which can lead to heart attack or other serious health problems. |
Did you know that our digestion extends beyond food? Our heart and mind are continuously "digesting" energy, information, experiences, and emotions as well! Excessive emotional or mental stress can lead to similar "blockages" in our digestive system. This is exacerbated when we have experiences or emotions that we don't work through, such as pent-up anger, guilt, blame, or grief we have not dealt with. These toxins build up in our system and can cause debilitating symptoms.

SELF ABHYANGA —BLOG L-DEE
Abhyanga is the Ayurvedic term for lovingly oiling the body. Practicing abhyanga regularly provides a profound feeling of stability, strength and well-being. This is in such a literal sense that the Sanskrit word sneha translates to “oil” and/or “love”, therefore, snehana “to oil oneself”, also means “to love oneself”.
Through the daily practice of self-abhyanga, one restores balance to the three doshas, massages the lymphatic system, increases circulation, improves skin tone & balance, increases stamina, calms the nerves, counteracts the effects of aging and cultivates self-love. A strong digestive fire and effective detoxification - both of the mind and body - is critical to optimal health. Panchakarma is a time-proven therapy to restore your body's balance. Try this treatment on a seasonal basis or whenever you are feeling imbalanced or symptomatic. It is designed to purify and strengthen all of the body's vital processes
